With a new coach, new players, and new goals, the Volleyball Team made big changes, especially when
it comes to improving team bonding and communication on the court.

New Head Coach Chris Bair has executed a complete overhaul of the team’s work ethic.

“I try to help players by implementing real life skills along with on-court skills,” said Blair. Blair says volleyball requires a lot of teamwork, communication and a good attitude.

Junior Bethany Weiske agrees. “Success is determined by two things; teamwork and attitude,” says Wieske.

Erica Stewart ‘16 says that other than work ethic, the team has improved their individual bonds as well. “The team is a lot closer and we improved a lot because of it,” said Stewart. “The new coach helped with the changes on the court and the team itself worked to resolve the attitude problem,” Stewart adds.

A high point for the team was playing their old rivals at the annual Pink Game. “I was really looking forward to the game because it’s just for fun,” says senior Sara Brown. “Its also for a good cause.”

Overall the team agrees that they have had a more successful season over previous years. “I think this  season was definitely more successful than in years past,” says Stewart. “Coach Blair brought more positivity to the team and helped bring the team closer together.”
